The Quaich was originally made from wood, then later from horn or leather, being eventually updated to pewter as it became the favourite drinking cup throughout Scotland. Being derived from the Gaelic word "cuach" meaning "shallow cup" the distinctive design has remained unchanged over the centuries - a shallow drinking bowl with 2 handles, locally known as "lugs".' you can choose any size from 2.5" and go upto 8.5" these sizes are of the bowl not including the handles (Lugs)
